How 5G MEC and drones will help improve health care for veterans | Verizon

More than 9 million veterans receive health care through the Veterans Health Administration, a division of Veterans Affairs, each year. In fact, the VHA is the largest integrated health care system in the country—including primary care doctors, pharmacists and therapists—helping provide care to veterans. Now, the Veteran Health Administration’s National Center for Collaborative Healthcare Innovation in Palo Alto, Calif. is working with Verizon to help improve patient care. This collaboration leverages 5G MEC and drones to inspect and monitor hospital infrastructure to help create new approaches to patient safety and security for veterans.
